David was born and raised in Lancaster, Ohio. He is a graduate of Lancaster High School, Ohio Christian University, and Capella University. David holds a Bachelors Degree in Religion, a Masters Degree in Education, and Ph.D. in Organizational Management and Leadership. He is an ordained minister with the Churches of Christ in Christian Union.

David works full-time as the superintendent and CEO of the Fairfield County Board of Developmental Disabilities and serves as lead pastor at Rushville Church. He travels around Ohio as a Maxwell Leadership speaker and trainer. David is also a licensed Realtor in the state of Ohio. He serves on several boards and committees in his community and is a member of Ohio Governor Mike DeWine’s Faith-Based and Community Initiatives Advisory Board. David received the Young Professional of the Year Award from the Lancaster Fairfield County Chamber of Commerce in 2012 and was named one of Columbus Business First’s 40 Under 40 in 2018.
